anyvcs is an adapter and wrapper library for popular DVCSes, implemented and designed for Python. The current version supports git, with Mercurial and bazaar support forthcoming.

anyvcs is currently capable of handing common git tasks, such as commit, add, checkout, along with determing some metadata. A full command wrapper implementation is supported.
